Look! Look at this and tell us again that Kris doesn’t give a f*** about Tao or he pities him so that’s why he bears Zitao’s presence. Because if you can’t see the IMMENSE bond between these two after this scene, you are blind and you are lying to yourself.
Tao’s speech to Kris is HONESTLY my favourite Taoris moment ever. Not only for the deep meaning of Tao’s words, but also for the huge emotional impact of their behaviours and reactions. Because Tao’s feelings were all there, shared in pubblic with courage (beacause you have to be very brave to share yourself so sincerly and so truly when you are in front of hundreds people and in a national tv Chinese programme). He taked his heart in his hand and offered it to his gege. Not for catching attention. Not for being melodramatic. But only for giving to Kris his love and gratitude. Can you feel it? I can.
You need to watch it and feel Tao’s honesty in his voice, I swear there will a warm and gentle heat in the centre of your body and it will spread over yourself. And you know what? I guess this is only a micro reaction compared to Kris’ inner reaction. Because Kris is a sensitive person, even if he doesn’t always show this side, and he is more sensitive about the people who cares about. So I’m sure Kris’ reaction was something similar a overwhelming interior emotional earthquake. And you could see it too. More subtle then Tao’s one, but it still there. How he restrained himself, because he doesn’t want to crack in front of all these people and he worked hard to contain the emotion. He trembling for a fractions of seconds, but it’s evident.
He is not a showman. He doesn’t behave in this way, not about his relationship with Tao. I think Kris wanted (wants) to protect their bond from critiques or hatred, that’s why his beaviour seems cold and it’s misunderstood. I think he doesn’t throw it to the eager mass easily, something good and positive like their friendship it’s something he needs to preserve. He wasn’t comfortable with the idea to share it, now the situation is better but that’s another story.
Am I delusional? If delusional means being honest and seeing the wonderful world beneath a moment of few minutes, oooh yes I’m completely delusional. Totally.
During the final goodbyes we have this amazing moment of these two, when Tao and Kris hold their hand tightly and the gesture (immensely little, immensely great) scream loud about their love.
Do you see in the last one? Kris? Yep. He was litteraly in the edge of an emotional inner storm. Yes, he’s holding his tears. Another fractions of seconds, but it’s evident this thing too and it wasn’t only for the emotion given by the crowd support, but I’m sure it was more for Tao’s speech and the whole, deep, meaning it has for him. About Tao? He could barely control himself that he cried hard during the bow. He was trying to catch his breath from crying so hard. Look at this:
And it’s love. A real, beautiful, fraternal and friendly love. It’s there. You can’t deny it and maybe lot of people will tell I’m too biased, but this moment it’s the one of most amazing demostration of love a “ship” will ever do. When I say “Taoris is real” I mean this reality. And it’s better then any kind of fanfictions or fantasies you could dream.
